Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ page). Below, we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to this our Web site may have. If you find that your question is not answered on this page, please email us: information@YDHA.com.
Do I need to own horses to be a member?
Ofcourse not. Members share an interest in draft horses. If you attend one of the Pot Luck Dinners, you might also assume that they share an interest in eating well, but that is certainly not a requirement either.
How often are there meetings?
Meeting notices are published in the Newsletter sent to members, they will also be listed on the Calendar page. Except for the annual meeting, organizational business is not conducted a member meetings. If you are interested in that end of the organization, the Board meetings are open to all members, and are also listed on the Calendar page. Meetings of the membership usually involve food and friendship.
Are there activities as well as meetings?
We have activites running year round. We host a driving school featuring Dick Sparrow in the spring, and the Youth Classes at the Topsfield Fair. There are also YDHA Sleigh rallies in the winter, and YDHA wagon drives during the rest of the year. Our members are also active providing wagons and horses for various parades and events in their areas.
